Gossip Girl Your Way Tour
Don’t want to commit to a group Tour? Tired of reading reviews that leave you more confused than when you started your search? Do your Gossip Girl Tour Your Way!
They had a private event going on so we could NOT get closer for a better photo this time.
We are fortunate that we can literally drive into NYC anytime we want for our adventures. I have researched every NYC “official” Gossip Girl tour and decided we could just do this on our own.
I’m hoping that after reading this blog entry you decide that you too can do this tour on your own.
Gossip Girl had 6 successful seasons so that means a ton of location opportunities.
I will continue to update this blog to feature locations as we visit them.
Here is our itinerary for our first unofficial Gossip Girl Tour. We didn’t get to hit all the locations intended as the day was a scorcher and my partner in crime was ready to call it quits. We walked a lot!
If you are from out of town and will be staying in a hotel, I suggest choosing one of these 2 hotels.
Starting Location: 455 Madison Avenue, New York, NY 10022 – otherwise known as the Palace Hotel
Starting Location: Home of Chuck Bass Empire Hotel West 63rd Street, New York, NY
This is an operating hotel so please be courteous to the guest and staff. You can enter and see the lobby which has been seen in various episodes of the show. If you want to really dive into the Gossip Girl Experience book a room at either the Palace (you won’t be disappointed we loved our stay in the Tower section) or the Empire Hotel. Then you can adjust the starting point as necessary.
After you leave The Empire Hotel head across the park either by horse and buggy or Uber to the LaDuree Address: 864 Madison Ave, New York, NY 10021 between 70th and 71st for a fresh macaroon treat. This is Blair’s favorite place to get Macaroons.
After you leave LaDuree, walk across to 5th Avenue and up to 74th Street to Nate Archibald’s townhouse from Gossip Girl located at 4 East 74th Street on Manhattan’s Upper East Side.
From 74th street walk up to 81st to the Metropolitan Museum of Art so that you can experience first hand what it feels like to sit on the steps! The Metropolitan Museum of Art 5th Avenue, NY Between 81st and 83rd streets.
Before you head over to Constance Billard School for Girls make a pit stop at the Waldorf Pent House location 1136 5th Ave, New York, NY 10128 between 95th and 94th street.
The next stop that makes the most sense is Museum of the City of New York, which is located at 1220 Fifth Avenue on New York’s between 104 and 102nd street Upper East Side. This is the location for most of the exterior shots of Constance Billard School for Girls and St. Jude’s School for Boys. We didn’t get to go to this location yet, but look forward to an update soon as it is on my TO-DO list.
I hope the above suggestions make your own gossip girl tour a success. If you have any suggestions or comments feel free to comment or email me email@example.com.
